Background

Johnson & Johnson is the largest US-American employer in Switzerland, and its subsidiary Janssen Cilag in Schaffhausen, which is firmly anchored in the region, contributes significantly to the company’s worldwide success.

Thanks to a series of strategic decisions, what started in a kind of open-air chemistry laboratory on a farm finally resulted in a top-notch production facility for biotechnological drugs.

Commission

The assignment consisted of reconstructing the company’s history and communicating it in cooperation with the corporate messaging agency BBF in Schaffhausen on the occasion of its anniversary. Interviews with contemporary witnesses, textual studies, and image research were used to examine the recent history of Cilag, in particular for the benefit of its employees.
