The Zurich-based agency Public History combines the strengths of its two divisions Public History Research and Public History Food.<\/p>\n

Both divisions research and create content on historical topics.<\/p>\n

Public History Research provides companies with historical content for their publications and film productions.<\/p>\n

Public History Food specializes in the history of cuisine.<\/p>\n

Public History Food further consults on strengthening regional cuisine and coordinates projects in the area of alpine products and biodiversity.<\/p>\n

Monica Rottmeyer<\/h3>\n

is responsible for the area Visual History at Public History. Since 1993, Monica has been working as a production designer and art director for national and international film productions with a focus on historical feature films. She worked for the US productions \u201cSeason of the Witch\u201d and \u201cThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo\u201d, was the responsible art director for the Swiss production unit of \u201cThe Miracle of Bern\u201d and received the City of Zurich\u2019s Film Award for her design of \u201cMy Name is Eugen\u201d. She further received the \u201cGrand Prix du Livre Gastronomique\u201d for her research toward the book and documentary film \u201cThe Culinary Heritage of the Alps\u201d. Monica studied fine arts as well as set and costume design at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. She also holds a master\u2019s degree in leadership and management from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. She is a member of the Swiss Federal Office of Culture\u2019s expert commission on film funding, the European Film Academy EFA and the Swiss Film Academy.<\/p>\n

Dominik Flammer<\/h3>\n

is an author and scriptwriter as well as a food scout and has been researching the history of nutrition for the past thirty years. His books and films have been awarded various international prizes. The focus of his work lies on the culinary heritage of the alpine region and especially the collaboration between agriculture and gastronomy. Dominik owns the Zurich-based agency Public History Food, which\u00a0\u2013 in close collaboration with its partner agency Public History Research\u00a0\u2013 specializes on the history of nutrition. Together with renowned organizations from agriculture, gastronomy, and food production, he is currently in charge of developing the new alpine culinary competency center that will open its doors in the autumn of 2019 in the former Capuchin monastery in Stans, Canton of Nidwalden.<\/p>\n

is a Q-grader Robusta and Arabica and worked together with Dominik Flammer on setting up the CULINARIUM ALPINUM in Stans in the canton of Nidwalden. Today she works regularly for Public History Food as a project coordinator, among other things on the inventory of the food history and product diversity of the canton of Schwyz.<\/p>\n
